Brand new playground website

We’ve worked with the wonderful team at Image Playgrounds for many years now. So, when they came to us to design a new playground website, we couldn’t wait to get started.

Having worked on the old site, we were very familiar with their products, business mission and ethos. Our team were super excited to help them promote their wonderful designs.

Madeira UK

The new Madeira UK website is user friendly, easy to use and perfectly in keeping with the rest of the company’s international branding. The Madeira team and ours are thrilled with the final results.

John and Natalie approached us in summer 2019 to give them some support with their existing website. They wanted to make it look more modern, increase its usability and to help drive more sales. With a clear specification in place, we got to work.

WOOFYT website design and build

What’s that noise you hear in the distance? It’s a WOOFYT (Wooden One-octave Organ For Young Technologists) being operated by students who are all enjoying working together while they learn about science, music and teambuilding.

Music and technology meet in a WOOFYT to create a primitive pipe organ that can be played by up to 20 people at once. The invention of teacher and violinist Jeremy Sampson and business man and amateur engineer Bill Cleghorn, education venues all over the UK are having a blast – pun definitely intended – on the WOOFYT.

A brand new site for Friends Schools

We’ve absolutely loved working on the website redesign for A Quaker Education. It’s been an exciting build that required specific functionality and brought together a wide variety of the different skills in our team.

The Friends’ School Council (FSC) approached us to design them a modern site full of useful content. We’ve done just that. The site is bursting with information for parents and potential students.

Jervaulx Abbey website design and build

As anyone who’s been will know, Jervaulx Abbey is a magical place. If you haven’t been yet, what’s keeping you?

The 12th Century Cistercian Abbey is full of historical significance. It was plundered in the 16th Century and is now privately owned. It has flourished with wild flowers growing freely throughout its ruined nooks and crannies.

The owners wanted to convey this atmospheric and enchanting feeling on the new Jervaulx Abbey website. They also needed to promote weddings, events and their fabulous tearooms online.

Breckenbrough School website design and build

As their tagline suggests Breckenbrough School are a bit different to most. In a Victorian country house in North Yorkshire, it is a unique setting for educating boys with learning difficulties. They pride themselves on quality education but in a more friendly and fun enviroment, designed specially to help the boys relax.

When they approached us to design and build their new website they brought a lot of ideas and enthusiasm. They were very keen to get their core values across to a range of different people who use the site. It also needed to set them apart from the vast array of boring, functional school websites.

Cycle Yorkshire website design and build

We’ve worked on digital projects with a team from various councils, road safety groups and a York-based video production company since before the Grand Départ hit Yorkshire’s streets in 2014.

First we built an app to help amateur cyclists ride the routes. Then after regular updates to the app to include the Tour de Yorkshire routes, we created a website to sit alongside the app. The site provides cyclists with a regularly updated digital resource.

Visit Whitby guidebook and website

Back in 2002, the voluntary not-for-profit Whitby & District Tourism Association (WDTA) awarded Bow House the contract to publish the first ever tourism guide for this popular coastal destination.

Many years on, and still going strong, Visit Whitby Guidebook is a much-loved pocket guidebook. It’s compact but informative and has helped millions of visitors find their way around the town. The guide also is perfect for promoting the fantastic businesses in and around the town.

In the meantime, the Guidebook’s website, VisitWhitby.com, was originally launched by the WDTA in 1997. It’s now riding high on Google for no end of ‘Whitby’ searches. Search it for yourself!

Body TLC Essentials Shopify website design

Body TLC Essentials needed a site as beautiful as their products. The business sells luxurious Bulgarian beauty products that can revitalise skin and deliver a wide range of health benefits.

The owners came to us with a site that had been built on Squarespace. The Bow House team got stuck in to making changes on the existing site, but weren’t able to deliver quite what owners Steve and Vania wanted. We realised they needed something with greater functionality to give them the site they wanted. That’s when the Shopify website design.
