Front-end Web Developer work in Easingwold

If you’re looking for front-end web developer work, our permanent, full-time role could be perfect for you.

You’d be working closely with our other web developers and designers on in-house and client-led projects. We’re a friendly team of 6 and like to keep the office informal and inviting.

Our web designer post

Taking the web designer post at Bow House will mean you’d be building websites from scratch as well as helping to maintain a wide variety of existing sites for our clients.

To be successful in the role, you need to be comfortable working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

What we're looking for

Requirements

  • Knowledge of HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
  • Experience with SASS or LESS
  • Experience building responsive websites
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Organised and self-motivated
  • A willingness to learn and keep up with web development trends
  • Some experience of Adobe Photoshop
  • Experience of Wordpress or other CMSs

Bow House has been in business in Easingwold, near York, for over 30 years. We produced our first website nearly 20 years ago and we’ve changed a lot since then. We’re looking forward to bringing someone new into the team.

Our web developer’s work load is varied and our projects will allow you to apply your skills and overcome new challenges. We build anything from single page sites to large CMS based websites and even bespoke apps.

The majority of our websites are responsive and you’ll be responsible for building them from scratch from Photoshop files as well as helping to maintain existing sites.

If you’re looking to develop your web design career, you’ll get plenty of training from within the team, as well as support for the resources you need to further your skills. We’re looking for self-motivated candidates to join our creative team and to give our customers an online presence to be proud of.
