After a very competitive pitch, we were over the moon to win the contract to create the new website for BATA. Their website at the time was in need of modernisation, and we were excited to have an opportunity to reshape their online presence to better reflect their diverse business. 

The brief included effectively showcasing BATA's 6 product areas, giving visitors a flavour of who BATA are, and creating a really user friendly site that works on mobile phones.

We used strong colours and a textured tabbing system to distinguish the six main areas of the business. Each area is divided into multiple sub areas, and we wanted to make it really easy for the user to get from A to B on the site, so we introduced a sidebar on the left hand side of all product related pages.

Everybody we've met at BATA has been cheerful and good humoured, and we feel that the positive colour palette and quirky textural effects we've used reflect that really well. 

We've built the site to be fully responsive, which means it works on all portable devices.
