Award winning pub gets a triumphant new website

Having worked on the marketing (see July news below) for the highly successful Fauconberg Arms in Coxwold (Yorkshire Moors & Coast Tourism Partnership Pub of the Year 2009), Simon Rheinberg and his family asked Bow House to create them a stunning new website.

Doctors Surgery website in great physical shape

When Millfield Surgery in Easingwold decided it was high time they had a presence online, they came to Bow House to ask us to create their new website.
With an online appointment booking facility and repeat prescription ordering system the priorities, we worked closely with the surgery staff to ensure the wellbeing of the new site, and even designed an 8-foot banner to help promote the launch of the site to patients.

Marketing for the Fauconberg Arms

Simon Rheinberg and his family approached Bow House in the spring to work with them on their marketing – they needed to increase footfall into their stunning country pub in the beautiful village of Coxwold, as well as attract guests to their smart Yorkshire B&B accommodation.
After commissioning a professional photographer, Bow House created some striking printed material, ran a successful local ad campaign, enhanced the search engine optimisation of the Fauconberg’s old website and ensured a large increase in accommodation enquiries by promoting the inn on a number of successful tourism directory sites including Hello Yorkshire.
A delighted Simon has since asked Bow House to redesign the Fauconberg Arms website – watch this space for further developments.

2009 Whitby Visitor Guide Out

The 7th edition of this fantastic, handy guide to Whitby and the surrounding area has just been delivered from the printers, and is now being distributed throughout the region.
Due to the ever increasing popularity of the guide, this years print run increased by 10,000 copies to a whopping 60,000.
Bow House have again worked on behalf of Whitby District Tourism Association, designing and producing the guide, as well as selling advertising space to many local eateries and visitor attractions to ensure the guide is packed with useful information for visitors.

New Nortelco Website Launched

Telecommunications specialists, Nortelco, tasked York web design agency Bow House with the redesign and rebuild of their website www.nortelco.co.uk
Starting from the ground up, the brief was to bring the design bang up to date and add a range of extra functionality to open up new business channels and offer new online services to their large, professional client base.
As well striking a perfect design balance between professional and friendly, to mirror Nortelco's customer service ethos, the site includes many great technical features such as a bespoke ecommerce system for the purchase of mobile handsets and accessories, dynamic news feeds and RSS feeds from BBC and Sky News, personalised and secure login areas for a range of client groups, and a back end administration system, which allows Nortelco to update any part of the site whenever they like.
New Port of Call for Whitby Visitors

Website design York agency, Bow House, have just redesigned and relaunched VisitWhitby.com on behalf of the Whitby Beacon Town Forum (Cic) and the Whitby & District Tourism Association (WDTA).
The new website offers accommodation listings for Whitby hotels, Whitby cottages and Whitby B&B, as well as details of local visitor attractions and places to eat.
Members of the Whitby Beacon Town Forum and WDTA keep the site regularly updated via a Wordpress admin system, so visitors can benefit from local news, events and tourist information.

Dales Visitor 2009 released into the wild!

Shop redesign is a hit!

Having produced a great looking website for Jukebox party company Betterdaze, the owner approached Bow House to mock up a design for the shop front to carry their branding from the virtual world into the real world.
Using pictures of the original building and some Photoshop wizardry, our designers were able to transform the old snaps into a vision of the future, which Betterdaze then used to revamp their presence on the high street.

When local acupuncture specialist, Alex Lochhead, approached us to develop his company's branding and carry it across a range of printed material to market the business' services. We were happy to take the stress out of his promotional predicament.
After developing a logo that supported the 'natural' ethos of the business we designed large format posters to promote the benefits of the treatments Alex offers. We also produced appointment cards to help reinforce the company's identity in the minds of customers.
Alex was delighted with the results and has asked us to design his new website. Watch this space!
New menus give Singapore coffee house a perk

Bow House recently designed this set of large format menus for Singapore based coffee house, Café Primo. The large format, poster style menus now take pride of place above the counter, helping to strengthen the business' branding, as well as tempting customers with their appetising imagery.

We turned our web design skills to pond care, construction and maintenance specialists Pondcare UK Ltd and developed them a great new website complete with an animated photo gallery and case study show page.
With the brochure website up and running, plans are underway to add an online shop selling a wide range of pond care equipment and accessories.
The site is full of useful tips to get the most out of home water features, which helps visitors get the most out of Pondcare's website.

New Website for Award Winning Whitby Hotel

The Saxonville Hotel in Whitby recently approached web design York company Bow House to redesign their existing website to showcase their great accommodation, restaurant and event facilities.
As well as a fresh new look, the website includes a video tour, integrated availability and booking system, downloadable menus and updateable content, including a news section and local events information.

Cistercian monks' Jervaulx Abbey website revamped

After we produced some printed material for Jervaulx Abbey, we were approached to redesign the website of these beautiful 12th century Cistercian monastic ruins in the Yorkshire Dales.
Keen to reflect the unique and special qualities of the Abbey, the new website is in keeping with its peaceful, rural and atmospheric ambience. By using our own photography and writing much of the copy, our design team were able to use their own experiences of the Abbey to create a stunning website.

Wyvill Arms Website Launched

We've just redesigned the website for the folks at The Wyvill Arms in Leyburn.
The Wyvill Arms has a great reputation for fantastic food and excellent hospitality, so we couldn't resist going over there to take some pictures that really do the place justice.
Using a 'lightbox' photo gallery, we were able to really show off some of the fantastic looking dishes and comfortable accommodation on offer.

Broadfields Cottage Website Launched

Bow House Wins the Treble

The news follows another highly successful sales campaign for the 08/09 catalogue that has seen advertising sales continue to climb steadily.
Bow House Changes National Park Boundaries

In autumn 2007 the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority commissioned Bow House to take over production of ‘The Visitor’, a free newspaper with a print run of 220,000, filled with useful information about the area, events listings and advertising from local attractions, eateries and accommodation providers.
We brought the publication bang up to date with a fresh new design and a clean layout that really supports the National Park’s branding as ‘One of Britain’s Breathing Spaces’.
We shifted the boundaries further, sourcing loads of new contacts and exceeding our contracted target for advertising sales by more than 20%.
In the Zone

2008 saw the launch of Supply Zone, Devon County Council’s catalogue of products and services, which covers a large part of the South West from Gloucestershire to Cornwall. Bow House has been selling the advertising space and gathering copy on behalf of Devon for nine years now. Sales for Devon County Council catalogue advertising have trebled since Bow House were entrusted with this task.

Supersave is a popular independent retailer of top-name household brands, and has been established in the centre of York for over 50 years.
Bow House were commissioned to create a new corporate brand and design a website which reflects Supersave's diversity of products. Hampshire Advertising Sales Hit £3million

Bow House has recently passed the £3,000,000 mark on advertising sales for the Hampshire County Supplies Catalogue. We have helped to grow sales for the catalogue by over 700% since we first linked up with Hampshire in 1992. Harland Garden Machinery Website

We're pleased to announce the recent publication of the 2007 Whitby Guide. An attractive and informative pocket guide, it's packed full of places to visit and fine establishments in which to eat and drink.
Tourist guides are one of Bow House's specialities and we have produced the Whitby Guide on behalf of the Whitby and District Tourist Association since 2003. We sell advertising, design and arrange printing of the guide.

It's our brightest design yet and it's packed with products which can be purchased by schools, local government departments, and other selected organisations within the Fife Council region. The catalogue's production has been generously supported by advertising from Fife's top suppliers.
Bow House have held the contract for advertising sales and production for Fife Council for every edition of their catalogue and the latest publication maintains our excellent standards in design and print.
Bow House is also currently working on catalogues for Hampshire County Supplies, the Authorities Buying Consortium, and Devon County Council's Supply Zone.
